USA Trip

It has been a few weeks  and time to show you a few bits and pieces. I should have showed this sooner but my PC crashed and had to be mended. The trip to the USA was fabulous!!

Blackbird Designs ornaments for Mary and Sharon who were showing us the sites in New York, such a lovely experience and more of that in my next post...

Mary took us on a Field trip on Wednesday and we visited a quilt shop The Meeting House. A truly beautiful shop which used to be a church. Sheila the owner, is a lovely lady and she organises quilt classes and will do mail order!! Of course I immersed myself in fabrics...
We visited the Delectable Mountain Cloth, shop, fabulous silks, ribbons and buttons, we spent quite some time there, heaven for the needle worker!
The landscape we drove through was breathtaking, thanks Mary for driving us through 3 States in 1 day!!

A class with Jackie du Plessis was planned for Friday and Saturday, I met the American Ladies who attended the Pinks for Pearls class. Fabulous to meet such a lot of wonderful woman, it was fun, laughter, stitching and fabulous food both days :))

My start on the finishing of Pinks for Pearls, a lovely project!!

The food Mary organised for the 2  days was fantastic. Just look at the pictures!!! America does food very well!!  The Jonesville Store, 989 Main Street, Clifton Park, NY 12065. www.thejonesvillestore.com.

On Sunday we drove to NY and I will update the 2nd week of the visit in the USA soon, we visited some wonderful stores and Sharon, (the Purple Thread) took us to Philadelphia!
FYI Sharon designed wonderful needlework treasures and the Attic is the shop where you can purchase her work!

Thank you all so  much for your lovely comments and welcome to new followers!!
