Finishes
Hello all, just an update on my work of late. Thank you so much for your comments and encouragements on my last post and a welcome to the new followers.
Not a lot of words either, my thoughts are with my dear friend Britta who lost the love of her life last week after a short illness, tomorrow John will be laid to rest.

Such a sad time for your friend dealing with a terrible loss like that. We are reeling here, too, as my boss lost her husband totally unexpectedly a few days ago. It really makes you think about how quickly one's life can change...

So sorry to hear about the death of Britta's husband. I remember having dinner at their home (along with some members of The Sampler Guild) when I was in the area a few years ago. Britta made Yorkshire pudding andyou all introduced me to Pimms.
Wonderful finishes Bertie. I'm so sorry for your friend's loss. And thoughts and prayers go out to her.

Bertie what a delight it was coming across your blog. It's a real feast for the eyes. I love the beautiful package of gifts for Carol especially the BD little birds and basket pillow. What a lucky girl :-) And your friend in the USA too. What a big smile must have lit up her face when she opened her package.
Your quilting is also exquisite. Such lovely combinations of colours.
I was very saddened to hear of Britta's loss. It has been a long and difficult time for them both and they both faced it with unbelievable strength and courage. She has been in my thoughts.
