BOF - BOM and more

I finally finished my Birds of a Feather, stitched with 1  thread over 2 on 35 count WDW Confederate Grey.

Unfortunately the sheep ate the flowers, it's winter you know! they need fattening up!

I don't know what will be next, but I have ordered Margaret Cottam........

General Wives BOM 3 arrived, I have to make 12 of these.  A complicated block was included, but am still thinking about that one and show you next time!  I am a bit slow in that department.

I do love blue, somehow red took over with a lot of my needlework, am going back to my roots now.

Just an excuse to buy this? no I do really love blue (and red too)!

Last month rummaging through my stash I found the beginnings of a sampler, started it ages years ago on 28 count. Looked at it and began to think that it might look good as an ornament. The alphabet was there so I just added some motifs from the bottom chart of the sampler.

Made it into this

Yes I do know what you think, why couldn't she keep it as it was! Well it was huge, a dye with coffee and hot water made it shrink a lot :) My spouse thought it was old, so it worked!
( Pattern is from an OOP Dutch Ariadne magazine April 1992)

 Just a little starter ;

That is all for now, thank you so much for your lovely comments on my last post! Made  me have a dance through the house  (my keep fit regime)!
Until later ;)

Congrats on your BOF finish -- so pretty! I love the fabrics for your General's Wives BOM -- so pretty! I'm like you -- blue was my first love before red took over in the samplers. lol! I think I'll always love blue. I love what you did with that piece you found -- so sweet! And nice start on the BBD piece too!

Wat een gezellig logje. Je merklap is prachtig.
De blauwe stofjes zijn geweldig mooi en je mag best van rood en blauw houden ;))

Congrats on another beauty finished! It looks so pretty, regardless of your sheep ate the flowers. lol And sounds like you are going to be busy with BOM 3. I'm sure you will enjoy making them including a complicated one :) I haven't looked at that BBD's book yet, but I love anything they are yo to. And your aged piece remake (?) turned out lovely. A new start is always a good thing, too!!

Congrats on your finish and I'm cracking up about the sheep eating the flowers! LOL

Okay, General Wives BOM? Why haven't I seen this? Probably because I'm trying to be good, but that only lasts for so long. Just love the blues.

Love your finish too with the old WIP. It's nice to finish up something from long ago!

Geniet ervan, lieve groet

Hallo Bertie,
Bedankt voor je reaktie. Je vroeg van welke winkel mijn loeplamp komt. Ik heb hem bij de lidl gekocht. Hij lijkt me ideaal met borduren.
Jij laat ook prachtig borduurwerk zien.
Mooie kleuren allemaal.

I love your work, but specially your quilting. I have two quilts ready to start but find it intimidating. Hopefully, I will get the courage one day to start.
