Thank you for your lovely comments on my last post, truly magnificent to see such interest in my work:)
A lot happened in the past few weeks, despite having a bad cold and other matters which I will not reveal...... (way too boring) I managed to do some stitching.
Part one of the Mystery Sampler is finished, part 2 did arrive last week but by then I digressed to other matters....
Yes this is what took my fancy, Blackbird Designs Bird in Hand and Remember me, you might like to see how I finished the sides for Blue Redbird, backstitched around it and use a bead every other stitch (for those who are not familiar with finishing) It’s the best method so far (I think) even if you do not use beads.... And BBD Summer arrived, so I might digress even more so.....
A present arrived from my friend Michele who lives in the USA, you have spoiled me rotten!! A painted box with gorgeous motifs, silk, rose pins (bad photography, sorry) and a hand crocheted thimble holder, now who can crochet that small!!
Another present, Holland’s Bont tea towels and serviette’s, love it Sandra B, looks fabulous in the kitchen as you can see.....
Just showing you some visitors who escaped yet again, but after eating the apples they followed me back to their home. They have doubled in size !! so how they got out, there must have been a hole somewhere...........
Have a great summer:))

Love the BBD finish
Congrats on such a beautiful gift !!
Love your Bird in Hand piece... so sweet. Great gifts from your friend.
Lovely stitching, both by yourself and pressies received. Lovely! I love how you photographed the BBD Bird in Hand -- it looks so perfect again the plate! And those pigs -- ok, that just cracks me up! It must be so neat to live somewhere where that can happen. That's all I can say. :D
Great finishes Bertie! The pigs are good for yard clean-up as long as they don't leave presents behind!
What lovely gifts! I love your BBD Bird in Hand. I bought the chart last summer and stashed it somewhere that I don't remember... story of my life. Love the work on the mystery sampler, too!
Have a great weekend!
ohhh lovely on all counts from the stitching to the gift received and those little piggies are adorable :) love mouse xxx
What a lovely post! I'm impressed with your progress on the mystery sampler, AND with your gorgeous finish of the BBD piece. Wow, your stitching and finishing look neat!
Heehee, those pigs are adorable!
I like so much your "remember me" and your finish is very beautiful.
FIJN..
dat de verkoudheid weer over is..
je sampler vordert al mooi !
fijn weekend,
groetjes, Petra
Fijn weekend, lieve groet
Beautiful stitching. Love your Mystery sampler and congrats with finishing 2 gorgeous stitched and finished BBD's. Lovely gifts too.
Oh Bertie, those pigs are gorgeous, I'll have one of the spotty ones please.
Your stitching and finishing is beautiful.
Mooie foto's , verdiende kadoos...kortom weer genoten van je postje...

Bday gifts, smalls, and escaped pigs.... now there's a blog title you don't see every day. lol
Happy belated bday, congrats on lovely stitching, and congrats on herding the "flock" home.... I'd say that's one big hole!
What a beautiful finish on your Redbird. I just love the idea of the beads - this after I gave away all my beads! Wonderful box, and critters! Enjoyed the post.
Love your Bird in Hand and enjoy stitching on BBD Summer when you get to it. What nice gifts you received!
I have both those little BBDs but progress is slow which is ridiculous given the size...... Gorgeous treats from Michelle and want to come and see the pigs! Sending hugs for return of energy and vanquishing of problems.
Wat een prachtig borduurwerk laat je zien. En een mooie doos.
Groeten,
Marian
Your stitched are so beautiful!
I love them!
