Baskets - Presents - Birmingham Quilt Show 2011

Good Evening, Morning or Afternoon wherever you may be....

A couple of weeks ago these Weed Baskets and Wax ornaments from Basket ‘n Prims arrived, thank you Pam they are wonderful and glad you ship to the UK now:))

Weedbaskets, so original Pam!

Wax ornaments for Britta :)

No stitching to show you today, too busy acquiring “STASH” at the Birmingham Quilt Show. We travelled to Birmingham New Street last week which was overrun by police (Thank you police!! they did a marvellous job). You probably heard about the riots and looters, for those of you oversees, there are no words for what happened, horrifying!!  I did travel with trepidation though and was glad it had all quietened down.

But firstly, my friend Britta gave me my birthday present(s)! when we met up last Wednesday. We had not seen each other for a long time and it was lovely to meet up again, we visited the show for 2 full days, and we still did not see it all!!

Thank you so much Bollers, love it all:))
The following pictures give you an idea of what I acquired, needed or not!   Books, Fabrics; Petra Prins  Haan & Wagemakers were my favourite's!!  Also Mary Jenkins new book on CD, very informative.

Fabulous Books

Fabulous Fabrics

Britta is in the process of making blocks in a class at Cupcake Cottons, they are gorgeous, made by hand, it’s her first patchwork class and it looks very professional !!  I have signed up for the General Wives BOM’s so watch this space.....

 Fabulous Block's

Thank you all for your lovely comments and hello to many new followers, appreciate your company!!  Hopefully next time there will be some stitching.... Ta for now :)

Hallo Bertie, what a lovely Blog Post, brought back all the memories from the weekend which was just fabulous.

Your stash looks fantastic, you will need to move to a bigger house soon! LOL

Thanks for making my blocks look so wonderful, but my mistake on the bears paw block is now very obvious............will have to fix that!

Hugs

Good to know also that the show went on in spite of the atrocious riots! Looks like you found wonderful goods!

Enjoyed your post! What lovely items. The silk and wool fabrics are SO nice, LOVE the beaded berries, the rusty bird.......
Looks like you added some great books and fabrics to your stash. So sorry for the turmoil and destruction, so glad you didn't have a problem.

Lieve groeten.

Those beaded berries are fabulous! Any chance Britta would tell you where she got them - or did she make them herself? They would look fabulous on a sweetbag.

Hi Melissa,
Thank you for the compliment, I will ask Britta for the details. Leave your e-Mail address on my comments, which I will not publish of course.
