I must admit that my mind is far from blogging at the moment but here is a little update, I am sure after this post my energy will be back!
The Mystery sampler part 1 is nearly finished I am waiting for part 2 to arrive which should be this week. (some have finished part 2!!!)
We have been on holiday with the old motorbikes, the weather was fabulous for the first half, the other half horrendous, lots of rain, a bit like now! We drove 100 miles around the Cotswolds to set out this rally and we were so lucky with the weather on the day of the competition.
Whilst on holiday it was time to get my Elizabeth Bradley out of the mothballs and give it some attention, I cannot work with wool in the house, the fibres get up my nose & so does this project lol . It will be a pillow when finished, but looking at it, the flowers might not be out again until the next holiday. I am sure it will be very pretty once finished.
A little visitor who escaped from our neighbours made a visit to our dwelling, having brought Harrison back several times, the apple tree was too tempting, so I let him have a go at the fallen ones, he is so sweet but very determent and no way can I catch him, believe me I tried. His sister is too big to get through the gate and got stuck in it, so we had to rescue her, I have never heard a pig scream so loud! We never have a dull moment here!!
A Grass snake (I thought!!) Slow Worm found yesterday and nearly ended up on the bonfire, rescued just in time. The first time we have actually seen slow worm here, she/he was in no hurry to get away when released:)
I thought you might like to see a few cheery garden pictures, the flowers were so early this year, I took these pictures at the end of May!!
Found her this morning just outside our window!
Thank you all for your lovely and encouraging comments, much appreciated:)) Apologies for not always leaving a comment on your blog, but I do read & enjoy all of them:))

Beautiful stitching on the BoaF sampler! Lol on the escaped pigs, but eeeeew on the grass snake... can't stand the creatures :-)
The mystery sampler looks wonderful! I just love that piece! And your Elizabeth Bradley piece is so gorgeous! Too bad the wool bothers you so much. Your holiday looks like such fun. I'd love to visit the UK someday. Lovely garden, and lovely deer too!
Your motorbike holiday sounds fun (except for the rain!)
Love your pics and stitching!!!
The Elizabeth Bradley piece is charming. How sad that you can only work on her outdoors.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday, despite the rain. Enjoyed your wildlife and garden pics.
Wat een gezellig logje, alsof we even bijgepraat hebben.
Jullie kunnen genieten van een prachtige flora en fauna rondom huis, geweldig!
Lieve groeten.
What a great post, Bertie! I love all the pics - your Mystery looks great as does the E. Bradley piece.
The pig in your garden is just too sweet for words!
Your mystery sampler looks great. So does Elizabeth Bradley.
Loved to see your holiday pics. And your morning guest is such a beautiful one. Glad you rescued the snake :)
Your mystery sampler is coming along very nicely and I just love that border with red flowers!! Elizabeth Bradley!! I think I'm hiding a kit or two from her line since a decade ago (lol), and just remember about that by looking at your beautiful one. It looks so British and pretty!! And motorcycling around Cotswolds sounds so nice. I've been there twice in the past, but always enjoyed that special atmosphere with the old English style. You have quite few visiors and they all look so cute and innocent!! Enjoy your lovely summer :)
groetjes Liliane
Your Mystery Sampler is coming along great. And I'm just so much in love with your Elizabeth Bradley piece. I love her pieces so much and I love the one you're working on.
Great holiday pics are wonderful. And love all the nature (pigs, snakes and deer) you have. We get the occasional deer and regular things, but nothing as exciting as a pig!
I can see the name of one of the villages where I used to live on the signpost. I am glad you enjoyed it.
Really like the mystery sampler hope to see more of that.
Oh wow, a grass snake, I'd love to see one of those in our garden. Love your tapestry, I have quite a few kits, but I'm saving those for when my eyesight is bad and I can no longer see to cross stitch.
The sampler is a true beauty. I love the colors and the border design very much. A pig and a deer in the garden!!! That is really unusual :-))Have a wonderful summer.
Your mystery sampler is looking great!
Bertie, what nice progress on your mystery sampler. Don't those gorgeous early summer days seem ages ago now! Fingers crossed that August will be a glorious month. How tasty those apples must have been!
Fijne dag, groetjes
Pretty border on the mystery sampler! The colors are so nice.
I think Elizabeth Bradley creates such nice designs and yours is beautiful!
I've seen escaped sheep in my in-laws' garden but never pigs! LOL That must have been funny.
Your WIPs are wonderful! What fun pics from your trip, too. I can only imagine it in the rain, though!! Let's hope the weather improves a bit soon.
beautiful stitching, and what a lovely surprise!!!! Dear Beartie, a trip in your blog is always fantastic :-)))
Hugs and have a lovely week end

Lovely stitching on your Mystery Sampler. My LNS stitching group are currently working on the sampler too, and it is so much fun to see one another's progress every week. Because of the popularity of the design, our LNS had to order more charts, so I was a few weeks behing the other stitchers. I have started Part II this week. It is fun!
So nice that you had a little getaway and some time to work on your Elizabeth Bradley piece....really beautiful.
Love the photos of the little pigs, and your story of the one who escaped for a visit! Your garden is lovely and what a wonderful photo of the beautiful deer who decided to rest on your garden lawn.
