As promised (to myself mostly) I finished this little darling this morning. Whist stitching the bottom lining on, quite a task, I put up the flaps and the fabric sagged, shock horror!! So I sprayed water on the inside pieces and left it on the stove to dry in the hope it would shrink, It did!! This morning the steam iron went on it like a steamroller and it all fell into place.
The flowers and vine are tent stitched over 1 which I loved doing in 2005, I remember stitching it in no time -) but is now my least favourite stitch.
The sampler in the background is Scottish 1758 and a prize possession.
So happy it's finished, now for the other 4!! and hopefully soon.
Thank you for your encouraging comments!!

Your blog is one of my VERY favorites to follow...such lovely things you post.
Did you know that Merry Cox attends the Callaway Gardens Needlework Event in Georgia? I just saw her name on the list as an instructor for this past event...hate that I missed out on that. I will have to keep a better eye on these things!
