Early Christmas Presents

Many many thanks for all your lovely comments on my Autumn post.
In the meantime I have been in Holland (more of that later) & on my return Winter really set in. We were just in time to do some groceries shopping before the snow descended on us (we have to get up a hill without four wheel drive, nightmare).

Yesterday the TSG members came together at Marjan's house in Berkshire. Thank you Marjan for being such a wonderful host,  have a Happy Christmas in Spain with lots of sun :)
It was quite a celebration and exchanging of Christmas Presents,  boy did I get spoiled!!

Britta made me this wonderful Christmas present, with some rusty pins, a star & bell, just gorgeous!! The acorns came in the box too and are made partly with felt.

The back, I am still overwhelmed, stitched on 40 count linen, I am so lucky!!

A rustic cabinet from Carol, and I will fill those pretty soon with buttons and ribbons. The pincushion next to it made by Sandra, felted and gorgeous pins, treasures :)

Britta also managed to be one step ahead of me and gave me the Needle Nut Case kit (retired) by Jackie du Plessis, very naughty, we had promised to keep it small, cannot trust her really LOL. Now we can soon make it together when the other WIP's are finished .) look so forward to that Britta!

Of course I made some ornaments too for the girls, not really Christmastide, more the alternative kind.

Ornaments from CHS & Goode Huswif, Charity for Carol, Faith for Sandra & Love for Britta. Stitched on 35 ct linen and kept mostly to the dmc colours.

The back, for each girl an appropriate charm.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS.

What lovely gifts you've received and what lovely gifts you have given. Sounds like a wonderful TSG get-together! Hope your snow is all gone although from the weather forecast it sounds as though colder weather will be back later this week.

Thanks for leaving me a lovely comment on my blog. Im replying back to you here...

Thank you! I love Judie Rothermel's lines a lot. Limo would like the thing if it smells yummy, not so much of its color. lol

Well, the only bad news about my iPhone (Last year's model.) is not taking good pictures. I use other camera and send them to iPhone to update my blog. Hope the next generation will take better ones so that I don't really need other camera any more!!

Merry Christmas to you, too!!!

Bertie, wow!! What amazing gifts, both given and received. You now have me wanting to run upstairs and grab out the Faith/Hope/Charity etc charts that I have, that I've been meaning to stitch for years now. Beautiful work! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a happy, healthy & prosperous 2011.

Thanks for leaving me a nice comment. Limo just loves to snuggle with a blanket, so I thought she may like Taco Shell, too? It's always fun to make the Christmas theme projects, isn't it?
