Here come the giiiiirls in the snow & a WIP

The Prairie Sampler Hornbook

I started this last year and lost the thread, but found it and hope to finish it this week.
I am stitching this with Belle Soie silk Noir & white for the flowerpots (saw this on Vero's Blog),

Lovely all this snow but not for my girl pheasants, and I just have to look after them.

So much snow - it makes me want a cup of hot chocolate!

Love your little hornbook, it such a pretty piece.

Do your pheasants have to be kept in a warm place during the cold weather?

Have a great day.

That looks like a lot of snow! Love that hornbook. I did that one in reds, but I think I like your color choices better. How nice to see those pheasants in your backyard!

Brrrrrr!!! Hope your pheasants manage to keep warm - and you too! We've had snow this morning, that's the first major bit we've had, we've escaped the worst of it but have been having the low temps and everything just seems to be covered in ice. Love your hornbook - what a nice piece.

The pheasants are wild Cari, and I am always pleased to see them, especially in this weather.

I love that hornbook! Can't wait to see your finish. Amazing how much snow you all are having. Hope it stays there and doesn't come here! lol!

Oooh, love the hornbook! It's going to be gorgeous when it's finished. We've been leaving stuff out for our birds, too--but the biggest we've had is a crow! ;) Love the snow pics! Stay warm.

I go out to feed and water the birds before I feed myself - mad or what!! There doesn't seem to be any end in sight either, they forecast another 10 days of the white stuff up here. Happy stitching - stay warm.

No Sandra that is not mad :-))) We do that as well, hope you keep warm too.
Happy New Year
